Hendon FC held their Youth Team Awards Presentation afternoon on Sunday and celebrated another pair of championships.
This season the teams to walk away with their respective Harrow Youth League title were the Under-17s, managed by first-year boss Hedi Bouchnak, who claimed the highest accolade in the HYL since Under-18s sections have been uncontested - and the Under-15s, under the guidance of Mark Crawford, who saw his squad won Division 1 after winning the Under-13s Division 2 title in 2001.
However, on a more disappointing note, the club bade farewell to both Lous Llewellyn and Gary Giessing. Mr Llewellyn has decided to retire, while Mr Giessing has accepted a post at Arsenal FC. Both gentlemen were thanked for all their efforts during their time at Hendon and wished them well in the future.
The club's first team manager, Dave Anderson, was on hand to present the League trophies, the Supplementary Cup to the Under-17s. He admitted to great pride at the array of mementoes at the presentation and said, "I have fond memories of this day, because the very first task I had as first team manager, two seasons ago, was to attend this event.
"I always thought I'd done well when I finished 3rd in the table - then I come here to the Youth presentations and see all the leagues we've won and the cups too and I realise that 3rd wasn't quite so good."
All five youth team managers made a speech and handed out their end of season awards as follows:
